
School Houses of My Ancestors
Over the years I have collected as many photos as possible, of the school houses where my ancestors received their education. The collection continues to grow over the years.

College Hill School
Located in Manhattan Riley Kansas
The photo was taken cir. 1893 when my GGGgrandmother Jessie Chase Whitney taught school at the College Hill School. This photo of Jessie Chase Whitney with her class outside of the school was contributed by the family of Annie Cosh.

Kansas State Agricultural College
Located in Manhattan Riley Kansas
The postcard photo of the Agriculture College located in Manhattan Riley Kansas was taken cir. 1891. My Great Grandfathers' sister, Julia Winifred Westgate attend the college in the early 1900's.

Rocky Ford School School

My grandmother, Jessie Mildred Westgate and her siblings got their early education at the Rocky Ford school which was located in near Manhattan Riley Kansas. The school was built in 1903.

Biggar School House

This is a more recent photo of the now abandoned school house at Biggar Saskatchewan. My maternal Grandmother Evelyn Josephine Richards attended the Biggar School when it first opened. At the time the school was opened by grandmother was 11 years of age and started grade one along with her younger siblings.

Buck Lake School

My fathers' Great Aunt, Anne Emily Oxby wife of Daniel David Brundige, was closely associated with the early teachers at the Buck Lake School.

Lewisham School House
Located at Lewisham Ontario
The children of my Great-Great Grand parents, Stephen Brundige and Mary McQueen attended the Lewisham School.

Coopers' Fall School School
Located at Coopers' Falls Ontario
My Grandfather, John McQueen Brundige and his brothers and sisters attended the school at Cooper's Falls until their move to the Fort Pitt Area of Saskatchewan in 1908.

Harlan School School
Located in Harlan Saskatchewan
My father and his brothers got their early education at the Harlan school house during the dirty thirties. Harlan is located near Fort Pitt Saskatchewan just north west of Lloydminster.
