Census Transcriptions & Images

Census Records provide the missing link between family, community and religon, enabling deeper search for record of our ancestors. Once we establish the community of residence through Census transcriptions we are able to source local history books which may contain, biographic information for the family we are researching. Establishing the community of residence is valuable when it comes to establishing place of death or location of burial.

The census records hosted on this site are delivered in many different forms. Some files are the result of transcription of the original census records, delivered in Word, Excell or html format. Some of the information from original transcriptions are delivered through database scripting with the result viewable using your browser. Other files are a digital copies of the actual census page often the case in respect to Canadian Census information. Many of the files are delivered in PDF Format when the benifits of portability the zoom capabilities of Acrobat viewer are an assest to presentation. Large digital images have been processed into savable PDF files as printed versions of the digital images render the contents unreadable and clarity is only possible using the zoom capabilities of Acrobat Viewer. The files however can be very large and take time to download so patience is required.
